We have a long history of providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students of all abilities and ages. We pride ourselves on being able to recognise that not all students are ready to study at a higher level, or that some students may need additional support in developing skills in order to continue into a vocational course at college or progress into employment.

The Pathways team support students through this transitional period in their academic journey, with a strong focus on enabling students to develop a range of valuable, life and study skills.

Why study Pathways at Totton College?

Our approach is to put students at the centre of what we do. We offer tailored support to students to help them achieve their aspirations, and with our small classes you’ll be treated as an individual and be part of our Totton College community.

Our Pathways courses offer students the opportunity to discover their passions and give them the confidence to progress to progress to further education, employment, or an apprenticeship.

Students will develop in areas such as communication and social skills, household skills such as food preparation and money management, as well as transferable skills for employment or further study. Alongside these courses, students will also be able to study English and maths.

We have a strong track record of helping our students to achieve their goals, and you will earn your qualification through a combination of course, projects, portfolio of evidence and practical tasks. More information about our courses can be found on our course pages.
