We offer a structured learning approach that combines on-the-job training with classroom learning. You will have the opportunity to work on real projects, which will help you develop practical skills relevant to your chosen career. Why choose the Early Years Apprenticeship at Totton College?
Our Early Years apprenticeship offers students the opportunity to discover their passions and gain the confidence to progress to further education, employment, or an apprenticeship. Hands-on experience gained through placements and practical training in authentic care settings ensures thorough preparation for professional challenges. Following programme completion, you’ll be primed to pursue diverse career avenues across care homes, hospitals, community settings, and beyond.
Working alongside industry experts, we offer a supportive and dynamic environment for aspiring care workers and practitioners to enhance their creative and problem-solving abilities. Our program prepares individuals for a variety of career paths in settings such as care homes, hospitals, community settings, and more.
By working on real-world projects, you will enhance your skills and knowledge, making yourself more appealing to potential employers. This experience could also open up the possibility of a full-time position at the end of the apprenticeship.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will earn a salary while gaining education and experience. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you could earn a higher starting salary compared to those who enter the workforce without formal training. We have strong links with local employers, giving you the option of working with an employer identified by us and eliminating the pressure of finding one yourself.
Our commitment to your success is unwavering. We take pride in the fact that all our apprenticeship programmes have achieved a 100% success rate. Every individual who has undergone the EPA has attained at least a passing grade, with many attaining distinctions.
Our apprentices have progressed to pursue university degrees or have been offered positions with their current or new employers. At Totton College, apprentices have had the opportunity to participate in London Fashion Week, become registered managers in the care industry, and advance to the position of bid writer within the Ministry of Defence.
We have a proven track record of helping our students achieve their goals. You will earn your qualification through a combination of courses, projects, a portfolio of evidence, and practical tasks. You can find more information about our apprenticeships on our apprenticeship pages.
