Totton College is different from other colleges. For a start, you’re not just another student. With a close-knit cohort of around 400 students, you’re part of a real community.
We know each student as an individual and tailor your learning to your needs and aspirations. We have a wide range of options for you to choose from, including courses, apprenticeships, and vocational qualifications.
If you are aged 16-18 at the start of your course and haven’t yet achieved a GCSE grade 4 or above in English and maths, our teachers will work with you to achieve better grades, helping you to progress to the next stage of your education and chosen career.
Industry-standard facilities
From our on-site Opus Salon to a state-of-the-art music recording studio, our facilities are industry-standard to make sure when you leave us you’re ready to step into the real-world of work.
Prepare for employment
We specialise in vocational and technical education. 95% of our students have work experience planned into their courses. This experience doesn’t just boost your CV—it also equips you with the vital skills you’ll need in the job market.

Our close links with local enterprises and industry-leading experts ensure our courses cover the latest skills, knowledge and practices so you’re well-equipped for your future career.

We’re really proud of our programme of activities. From trips and supporting events, these activities enhance your CV and higher education applications as well as giving you the opportunity to have fun, meet new people, and acquire new skills.
Student support & welfare
All students have access to one-to-one weekly progression coaching sessions, where you will discuss your future ambitions and the steps needed to achieve your goals.
We also have Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) dedicated to supporting you inside and outside of the classroom. The team offers a wide range of support including assignment writing, research skills, understanding assignment briefs, note-taking, revision tips, and much more.
We take student welfare and safeguarding extremely seriously. Staff are available to offer help and advice to all students who need to discuss any issues. This is why we were awarded Incyte’s Excellence in Safeguarding Platinum Award.
