Jacob Thompson, a Level 3 Digital Skills and Media student has learned essential media skills such as using professional software like Premiere Pro and Photoshop and operating cameras like understanding different camera settings and techniques to help develop his skills for his future in the industry after his course.
Jacob Thompson added:
“During my time at Totton College, I’ve gained valuable skills in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and operating cameras. These experiences have refined my attention to detail and sparked my creativity.
The most enjoyable aspect of my course is the engaging work and the supportive environment by both classmates and teachers. Additionally, the absence of exams adds to the positive learning experience.
One of my proudest moments at Totton College was the opportunity to film the Chinese New Year show in Southampton. I was also invited to film an on-stage performance at the Mast Theatre alongside my classmates.
For new students coming to Totton College, I recommend attending the welcome day. It’s an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow students within your course and across the college community.
Upon completing my journey at Totton College, I would like to pursue higher education in game development at university.”
