Space for learning and support

The Pathways Hub provides a dedicated, supported space for our students to develop their learning and social skills, and prepare for adulthood.

Our common room is an area for students to socialise with their peers, talk informally with teachers and support staff, and develop relationships.

We have two types of quiet room within the Pathways Hub: our PC study area and our relaxation space. These spaces provide students with a place to go should they need some time to work independently outside of the classroom, or somewhere to go to take time out to relax.

There are always helpful staff around during break and lunch times, and these spaces are close to our teachers’ office should students need to speak to their teacher or Progress Coach. The Pathways classrooms are also in this area of the college.

We also have several small learning spaces for our 1:1 and small group work – these spaces provide a more informal learning environment where students can collaborate with their teachers or peers on project work or development targets.
