Entry requirements
At least three GCSEs at grade 3 or 2 or a pass at Level 1. Most learners will complete GCSE Maths and/or English alongside this course.
What will I learn?
As part of the course, you will improve your ability to work within a team, work independently, and develop your ICT skills. You will also focus on planning your future career, how to apply for future jobs, and practice the interview skills that will be required when you leave college. You will also undertake work placements to assist in developing your employability skills and providing you with a taste of your chosen industry
Work Experience
Work placements will be introduced at the start of the course, such as internal placements, to provide you with the confidence to be able to progress to placements within industry.
Assessment
You will be assessed through projects, coursework, and community/enterprise activities. There are no examinations.
Enrichment Opportunities
You’ll be able to take part in activities, both on and off the college site, like sports, trips and visits, and there are plenty of clubs in our enrichment programme that you can join.
Career and Progression
This course will equip you with the skills for entry to employment or apprenticeship. Alternatively, you may be able to progress to a Level 2 vocational course of your choice.

Advanced Learner Loans are available for students who are aged 19 or over. Repayments do not begin until the course is completed and you are earning £25,000 or over.
