Totton College is part of Nacro Education, England’s largest independent training provider of education and skills for 16-18 year-olds (and 19+ for those with an EHCP) and we’re rated good by Ofsted.

- We treat you as an individual – We’re different to other colleges. We’ve created a friendly and personable community. With just over 430 students, we know each of our students as an individual. Our average class sizes are between 10-12 students, meaning we not only tailor your learning to your needs, we ensure you have the support you need.
- We’re specialists in vocational education – We prepare you for your future. Our courses are designed to give you the skills you need for employment. We not only teach you the theory, we teach you how to apply it, giving you a competitive edge in the workplace.
- Our industry-standard facilities – Our facilities are designed to give you real-world experience. From our fantastic Opus Salon to our state-of-the-art music recording studio, our facilities are industry-standard to make sure you learn and experience the real-world of work.
- Earn while you learn – We offer a range of apprenticeships in a wide variety of sectors from business administration to hairdressing. We work with local enterprises and industry leading experts to ensure our apprenticeships cover the latest skills, knowledge and practises.
- Student support and enrichment – We support and encourage all our students. Our teams are expertly trained to give students the support they need, and encourage independence. All of our courses are designed to encourage students to participate in various enrichment opportunities. 95% of our students have work experience planned into their courses, enhancing their employability skills and CV.
About Nacro Education
As one of England’s largest independent training providers, our focus is on creating a more personalised learning experience through our Get Set! courses and apprenticeships. Empowering students to develop the personal and professional skills employers are actively seeking via our national education network and strategic partners Skills Builder, MyBnk and Empatico.
Nacro Education and Totton College are open to young people aged 14 – 19+. Some of our students loved school, and some have struggled in mainstream education, some are looking to launch their careers with a hands-on vocational course, some might have SEN and benefit from our tailored one-to-one support. What brings our community together is the desire to get set for a bright future.
We are rated Good by Ofsted, hold the matrix Standard for information, advice and guidance services, and have received the Incyte platinum award for safeguarding. Our mission is simple – we want you to be who you want to be.
