Amy Yates, a former Level 3 Business Administrator and Level 3 Team Leader apprentice has developed her skills throughout her apprenticeships and through Amy’s hard work and commitment to skill development, she has earned a promotion to manager at the local business Trant. Her career progression highlights the benefits of dedication and continuous learning in achieving professional growth.
Amy Yates added:
“During my apprenticeship, I learnt how to manage a team and the different theories and models behind it, every lesson I learnt something different that I was able to apply back to my place of work in order to progress.
I enjoyed the classroom setting and being able to talk to other apprentices who are in different job roles about what they do and how they would deal with certain situations that happen within their workplace.
My proudest achievement whilst at Totton College was passing my apprenticeship and becoming a manager at my workplace.
A piece of advice I would give to a new student is to try and keep up to date with your work and always reach out for help when you need it.
I am currently doing my Level 5 apprenticeship in learning and development consultancy/business partner but after that, I hope to complete a Level 7 within learning and development.”
