Are you a practical type of person? Prefer doing a practical, hands-on task more than sitting at a desk all day? If so, our Construction
Course may be the course for you. The construction courses are designed around developing your practical skills and tasks; placing an emphasis on you demonstrating what you can do rather than what you know in theory. The qualifications provide you with the opportunity to acquire and develop generic, transferable and sector-specific skills in order to complete tasks and demonstrate a level of achievement that enables you to progress further within the industry.

Entry requirements

Level 2 – At least three GCSEs at grade 3 or a Merit/Distinction at Level 1, plus an interest in the construction industry.

Assessment

You will be assessed through a combination of coursework, practical tasks and examinations.

Career and Progression

Completion of the course will allow you to progress straight into industry working in a relevant sector. Alternatively, you could progress to an Apprenticeship or study the Level 3 Construction.

Funding and bursaries

Advanced Learner Loans are available for students who are aged 19 or over. Repayments do not begin until the course is completed and you are earning £25,000 or over.
