Totton College SEND students run successful enterprise project
Totton College SEND Students have successfully run a Car Wash for staff as part of their Enterprise projects this year.
Students from the Skills for Life Department at Totton College, are running a Car Wash in the staff car park for two-day duration throughout May and June. This is a part of the students’ Enterprise Unit where students are required to run a business for the year and have successfully executed projects such as the Car Wash, Christmas and Valentine’s Day sales and much more. The students have a total target to raise £200 by the end of the year and have already achieved £140.00.
At Totton College, the provision to support learners is at the heart of everything that the staff do, and today showed the support for students.
Totton College, Skills for Life Teacher, Rosie Parker-Robson said:
“This project is a great experience for the students, they have a real insight into what it’s like to run a business and make money. They have to run various different enterprise projects throughout the year and today’s Car Wash was excellent and very popular. The students planned the car wash project as a team from start to finish as part of their business enterprise unit. I am so pleased with their efforts during the planning, advertising and running of the car wash. They should be very proud of themselves- they are a good team.”
